Voici une nouvelle réalisation expliquée en image. Je vous propose de réaliser une horloge.

Here is a new projet explained from A to Z, how to make a clock.

Il faut un cadre de 50 cm x 50 cm et un système d'horloge.

You need a 50 xm by 50 cm frame and a clock system.

Tracer sur le cadre deux diagonales afin de déterminer le centre du cadre.

Trace two diagonals in order to find the center.

A l'aide d'un cutter faire une croix au travers de la toile.

With a cutter make a cross through the cloth.

Démonter le système d'horloge en enlevant les deux vis.

Pull the clock system apart.

Placer la vis au travers de la toile et visser la partie arrière.

Place the screw through the cloth and put the back system in place.

Placer les aiguilles.

Put the time hands in place.

Broder des chiffres et des frises.

Stitch numbers and designs.

Mes numéros et mes frises sont réalisés avec une machine à broder.

My numbers and designs are made with a special sewing machine.

Placer les éléments.

Put the elements in place.

Coller les éléments sur le cadre, bien appuyer sur les bords, insister sur le pourtour des lettres.

Glue the elements in place, insist on the broders and around the letters.

Et voilà le résultat.

Dans mes aventures de cartonnage, voici des lettres! Je vais essayer de proposer l'alphabet complet!

Here are my boxing days! I have created some letters and will try to create the entire alphabet!

Les dimensions de ces premières lettres ainsi que celles du mot ECRU sont disponibles dans un livre "fabrication maison" intitulé "Ecru" pour 30 euros.

Le livre comprend les grilles que j'ai réalisées sur le couvercle de la grande boîte (la grille sur le dessus du couvercle et la grille sur le dessous du couvercle), la grille et les explications d'assemblage de mon album photo (la note s'intitule "classeur fait maison"), plus un alphabet complet.

I have a new "home made book" to suggest, it has the title "Ecru" and cost 30 euros. It includes the sizes of these letters as well as the letters for the word ECRU. Is also included the grids that were on the lid of my box (grid on top of the lid and the grid underneath the lid), the grid and explanations to make the album (note was titled "classeur fait maison" - click above), as well as a complete alphabet (click above).

C'est donc ma réalisation de la semaine dernière, je vais créer une fiche explicative avec cette grille.

L'assemblage

J'ai terminé de broder le grand morceau de lin.

Il ne faut surtout pas se tromper en brodant la partie qui correspond au côté et la partie du dessus. Ils sont inversés!

Finished stitching my big piece of linen. They are both facing opposite sides because one is for the side of the box and the other for the top part of the lid.

J'ai collé tous les morceaux de carton et j'ai fait les finitions. Sur le morceau correspondant au dessus j'ai placé un carton que j'ai molletoné.

On this piece I have placed all the cartboards (there are three pieces: the bottom, the side and the top).

Je colle cet élément sur la boîte (le dessous et le côté).

Now I have to glue this element to the box (the bottom and the side).

Je colle le dessous du couvercle en place, m'assurant que lorsque je ferme la boîte ce morceau se place correctement.

I have to glue the bottom part of the lid in place making sure that when I close the box that part fits into the box.

J'ai recouvert l'intérieur de tissu.

I covered the inside with fabric.

L'étape suivante dans le Marquoir était de fabriquer trois casiers pour ainsi obtenir des "étagères".

Mais j'ai décidé de faire autrement, et je vais fabriquer deux minis boîtes sur le même principe que la grande qui vont se placer à l'intérieur.

The next step in the magazine was to create some "shelfs" inside the box. I have decided to do otherwise and will be making to "mini" boxes based on the same shape as the big one to put inside.

J'ai signé en dessous de la boîte!

I signed on the bottom of the box!

Petite précision, j'ai tapissé l'intérieur de la grande boîte avec un tissu écru et blanc contenant de grands motifs. Je vais tapisser les deux petites boîtes avec un tissu de la même couleur mais avec un motif différent.

I have covered the inside of the big box with a white and cream colored fabric with a motif different from the fabric I will use for the smaller boxes although same color.

Le couvercle intérieur

J'ai terminé l'intérieur du couvercle, il glisse bien dans la boîte. Sur la photo il est dans le mauvais sens puisque cette partie sera visible lorsque le couvercle de la boîte sera ouvert.

Je termine de broder le dessus du couvercle, j'ai le tissu pour recouvrir l'intérieur de la boîte,  à suivre.

I have finished making the inside of the lid, on the picture it isn't in the right position as it will be the part that we see when the lid is open. I'm finishing the stitching part of the top of the lid, I have all my fabric for the inside of the box, so to be continued.

La base

J'ai assemblé la base, c'est à dire le fond et les quatre côtés.

J'avais mis du craft à l'intérieur couleur marron, j'en ai trouvé du blanc, j'ai donc consolidé l'exterieur avec le blanc.

Ayant brodé les trois côtés, je les ai collés en place, tout s' est bien déroulé. En suivant les instructions dans le Marquoir, j'ai réussi à coller les rebords du dessous et du dessus correctement.

Le couvercle est l'étape suivante: je suis en train de broder le dessus du couvercle. J'ai terminé de dessiné la grille du dessous du couvercle.

I have assembled the base of the box: the bottom and the four sides. Since I had stitched three of the sides I glued them on the box. I followed the instructions of the magazine Marquoir on how to glue the top part and bottom part.

I am now ready for the next step being the lid. I am stitching the top of the lid and have drawn the grid for the other side of the lid.

Une boîte

Une nouvelle catégorie pour un nouveau projet: le cartonnage.

Les explications viennent du Marquoir, année 2002 et 2003.

J'ai découpé les éléments (carton 3mm), j'ai assemblé la base de la boîte.
J'ai découpé mon lin et passé un fil pour mon repérage.
J'ai brodé les éléments pour les 4 côtés (modèle Alice and Co - BVM01 Vent de la mer).

L'étape suivante: broder le couvercle (dessus et dessous), j'ai dessiné le modèle du dessus, le temps de le broder je vais réfléchir pour le modèle du dessous.

I have started a new project, making a box with cross stitch on it. First time that I will be making one so I'm following the instructions available in a cross stitch magazine called "Marquoir", the explinations were in the 2002 and 2003 editions.
I have cut all the cardboard pieces, cut my linen and started the stitching, finished the sides. The next step is to stitch the top of the lid and then the inside of the lid. I have drawn the top and am still thinking of the design for the inside of the lid.
