Des dentelles: j'avais des bobines en bois, après lavage et repassage des dentelles, il n'y avait qu'un seul endroit où les mettre!

Un presse papier: j'en voulais un depuis un moment, j'en avais vu sur de précédentes brocantes mais cette fois-ci je n'ai pas résisté, et j'ai bien fait car un monsieur est arrivé au moment du règlement pour le prendre, moralité - sur une brocante il ne faut pas dire "je fais un tour et je reviens"!!

A book press: I've been wanting one for a while, I had seen two on previous flea markets, but this time I didn't resist, and it's a good thing because as I was paying a man came to buy it, so on a flea market never say " I'll go around and come back later""!!

J'ai plusieurs métiers à tisser, et souhaitant réaliser des broderies pour les utiliser, j'ai pensé à créer des marquoirs.

I have several old wooden looms, and since I wanted to create some new designs to use them, I decided to create some samplers.

J'ai terminé mon quilt, voici mon biais avec une couture "invisible" au dos.

I have finished my quilt, here is the biais hand sewed with an "invisible" stitch in the back.

 

Voici le résultat sur le devant.

Vous pourrez le découvrir à Sainte Marie aux Mines du 17 au 20 septembre, car il sera mis à l'honneur sur mon mur!!

Biais

 

Mon quilting est terminé, la dernière étape est de mettre un biais. Deux possibilités, soit un biais vendu en mercerie, soit un biais à partir du tissu du plaid. J'ai donc réalisé mon biais, je l'ai cousu sur le devant du plaid, je vais le plier vers l'arrière et faire une couture "invisible" au dos

My quilting is done, the last step is the biais. There are two possibilities, either buy one already made or make one with the leftover fabric, I am making mine, I sewed it to the front of my quilt, I'll be folding it backwards and handsewing an "invisible" stitch on the back.

Marquoir du Jardin

 Le privilège de faire partie de la famille d'une créatrice, c'est que l'on peut avoir la grille en entière d'avance!!

Voici donc le Marquoir du Jardin réalisé par Maryvonne (cousine de ma maman), je l'ai mis sur une planche avec du molleton et fini les bords avec un galon et des clous de tapissier.

Je n'ai pas encore fait mes devoirs car je souhaite terminer le quilting de mon plaid!

Pour celles qui suivent ce projet, nous en serons à l'étape de l'encadrement fin novembre, à cette occasion il y aura un album spécial en ligne pour que chacune partage sa mise en scène.

The advantage to be family of a designer is that you get the full grid in advance. And here is the Garden Marquoir stitched by Maryvonne (my mom's cousin), I set it on a plywood for her.

I haven't done my homework yet as I want to finish my quilting!

For the ones that are following this project, we should be doing the framing part end of november, and for the occasion, I'll be opening an album where everyone will be invited to share their framing work.

Coeur Hiver VIII

Je fais peut être du patchwork, mais je continue aussi le point de croix, voici mon Coeur Hiver VIII terminé hier!!

Mon quilting va rester sobre, j'envisage une semaine de travail, donc à mardi prochain pour la suite!

Tissu avec des cerises

Un nouveau petit sac réalisé par ma maman, mais ne trouvant pas de tissu avec des cerises,elle a fait appel à "mes talents" pour lui réaliser le tissu en question, et voilà le résultat: d'où l'expression "on est jamais mieux servi que par soi-même" - n'est-ce pas!!.

A new little bag made by my mom, she was looking for a fabric with cherries but couldn't find any, so she asked me to help her out, and there is the result: I don't know what the english expression is but in french we say "one is never better served than by oneself", don't you agree!!

PS: a good friend told me how it is said in english: "If you want something done, better do it yourself"

Quilting

J'utilise un cadre en plastique carré pour faire mon quilting, il faut maintenant que je réfléchisse sur le dessin que je souhaite faire.

I use a square plastic frame to do my quilting, now I need to think on what design I want to do for the quilting.

Déjà 40 semaines que l'on a passé à broder ensemble!! Pour cette partie, il faut ajouter deux croix au pied du "X" pour le terminer, et pour info, le haut du "C" ne contient pas d'autres croix.

J'ai brodé cette partie, mais j'attends avec impatience que le soleil fasse son apparition pour faire la photo!!

Already 40 weeks spent together stitching!! For this part, you need to add two stitches to the foot of the "x" to finish it off, and for info, the top of the "c" has no other stitches.

Just waiting for the sun to show up to take the picture!!
