Voici les pochettes que ma maman m'a brodées au point de croix en 1 fil, celle du milieu c'est "Coeur Patch IV", et celles sur les côtés c'est "Coeurs Dantelez".

Ils sont superbes. Je les aime beaucoup.

J'ai terminé de broder le dernier morceau de lin destiné à Catherine de C.du.lin Création. Ce sont les "Petits Chats". J'ai regroupé tous les morceaux et je les ai posté. Au plaisir de découvrir les sacs terminés sur le stand de C.du.lin Création du 7 au 9 juillet à la Fête du Lin dans la vallée du Dun (près de Dieppe).

I have finished stitching the last piece of linen for Catherine of C.du.lin Création. It is "Petits Chats". I have prepared all the piece and posted them. Waiting to discover the bags assembled on the booth of C.du.lin Création from the 7th to the 9th of july at the Fête du Lin (Festival of the linen) in the Dun valley (not far from Dieppe in the north of France).

Coeur Patch IV

Voici la grille "Coeur Patch IV" d'Alice and Co réalisée par ma maman (ainsi que l'assemblage). Elle a tout brodé en 1 fil de coton sur 1 fil de trame. J'adore le résultat!!

Patchwork au Point de Croix

J'ai terminé mon neuvième morceau (en haut à gauche) afin de faire un quilt. Il faut maintenant que je trouve du tissu.

Alphabet Poissons

Aujourd'hui un mini évènement: je décore cet après midi un magasin au Pouliguen (proche de La Baule) Les Trésors d'Emi.

Edith et son fils Arnaud vont proposer mes fiches. Je vais donc exposer certaines de mes réalisations. Le thème de la vitrine: la mer.

Hier j'ai travaillé sur des poissons et voici le résultat: un grand coussin pour se reposer!! Des morceaux de tissu pour patchwork assemblés ensemble (70 cm x 70 cm). Un gabarit de poisson découpé dans du lin, et brodé avec les lettres de la grille "Alphabet poissons".

Today is a mini event, I'm decoration a shop at the Pouliguen (town on the waterfront). Edith and her son Arnaud will be selling my grids in their shop so I'm lending them some bits and pieces. The window theme is: the ocean. So yesterday I made this big pillow very comfy!! Pieces of patchwork fabric assembled together (size: 70 cm x70 cm), fish pattern cut into linen and stitched with "Alphabet Poissons".

C.du.lin Création (3)

Un nouveau morceau brodé pour C.du.lin Création avec "Peinture papillonnée" d'Alice and Co. J'ai changé les couleurs par rapport aux couleurs que j'avais notées sur la grille. J'ai choisi un ensemble plus "pastel". Et j'aime beaucoup le résultat.

Je pense le refaire sur le sac destiné à mon stand!!

A new piece stitched for C.du.lin Création with "Peinture papillonnée" from Alice and Co. I changed the colors from the original grid by choosing more pastel colors. I am very fond of the result and think stitching it on one of the bags meant for my booth!!

On the first bag I created a grid with flowers that I stitched with the new colors of DMC Variations. On the second bag a heart of roses.

C du lin Création

Lors de ma visite au Smac (salon à Paris), j'ai rencontré Catherine de C.du.lin Création. Elle fabrique des sacs en lin, certain peuvent être brodés, d'autres non.

Je lui ai montré mes créations de point de croix et je lui ai proposé une collaboration de stand à stand, je brode des sacs pour les exposer sur mon stand et je brode les mêmes sacs (avec des grilles différentes) pour son stand.

Voici la collection de sac qu'elle m'a fait parvenir: pochette "Lou 1", sac "Délice", sac "Théo 1", sac "Délice" grand format. Plus deux kits: sac "Manon" et sac "Mariola".

Je suis en train de créer des grilles pour ces sacs. J'en ai déjà brodé deux (photos demain!!).

During my visit to the professionnal fair in Paris, I met Catherine from C.du.lin Créations. She makes linen bags. Some can be cross stitched and others can't. I showed her my grids and suggested a collaboration between us. I would stitch some bags for her booth and I would cross stitch the same bags (with different designs) for my booth.
These are the bags she sent me: "Lou 1", "Délice", "Théo 1", "Délice" big size. But also some bags to assemble myself: "Manon" and "Mariola".

I am designing some new grids for these bags. I have already stitch two of them (pictures tomorrow!!).

Les Idées de Marianne

Article dans "Les idées de Marianne" de Mai 2006.

Hier le 02 mai c'était l'anniversaire des 3 mois d'existence d'"Alice and Co". En lisant mes mails je reçois un message d'une dame m'informant qu'elle m'a découverte en lisant "Les Idées de Marianne". Je lache tout, je me précipite dans la cuisine, j'attrape les clefs de la voiture et direction la maison de la presse. Et là vive émotion, un article sur moi dans la section Créateur!!

Donc aujourd'hui je devais partager cela avec vous!!!

Salon Déco et Créations

Du 28 au 30 avril a eu lieu le salon Déco et Créations à La Roche sur Yon.

Voici mon stand pour l'occasion.

From the 28th to the 30th of april occured the fair Déco et Créations in the town La Roche sur Yon. I had a booth there and these are the pictures of it.

Des petits pots...

Pour fabriquer des petits pots, j'ai décidé de ne pas de les faire les uns après les autres mais "à la chaîne".

To make my little fabric pots I had to do them by steps instead of one at a time in order to go faster.

Etape 1 : coudre le morceau de lin au morceau de tissu (sew the linen to the fabric)
Etape 2 : coudre le côté (sew the side)
Etape 3 : coudre le fond (sew the bottom)

Etape 4 : préparer les pointes du fond avec les épingles (prepare the edges of the bottom with pins)

Etape 5 : coudre les pointes (sew the edges)

Etape 6 : retourner le tout (turn it inside out)

J'ai préparé des fiches avec un modèle au point de croix. (I prepared some cross stitch grids)

Un petit tour sur la table à repasser et ensuite direction "packaging". (a little visit to the ironing board and then packaging)

Coeur Patch II

J'ai terminé ce week end mon "Coeur Patch II", il me reste à le remplir.

J'ai brodé avec du bleu sur un lin marron, cousu sur du tissu bleu.

Petits chats

Un cartable réalisé lundi. Je n'avais pas d'explication sur la réalisation donc j'ai fait à mon idée. Maintenant je sais ce qu'il faut que je change. Je suis malgré tout satisfaite du résultat!!

A schoolbag made this monday. I had no explination on the mesurments so I made it the way I thought. Now I know what I need to change. But I am happy of the result!!

Coeurs toujour sans nom!!

Mon ensemble de trois cadres est terminé mais je cherche toujours un nom à ma grille de coeurs.

Samedi soir j'ai réalisé un autre coeur (en négatif) sur un pense bête de chez Annick Profitt.

Poussins

J'ai encadré ma réalisation intitulé " Poussins" d'Alice and Co.

Et en ce dimanche de beau temps, lors de notre promenade hebdomadaire avec mon chien j'en ai profité pour prendre en photo une poule du village de Kerhinet qui a 9 poussins qui grandissent bien (le neuvième est plus loin, il n'aime pas être pris en photo!!!).

And today sunday while taking the dog out for his everyday walk I took a picture of a hen in the village of Kerhinet that has 9 chicks that have hatched recently and that are growing quite quickly (ps: the ninth one is further away, he doesn't like to have his picture taken!!).

Papillons

Cette matinée était consacrée à l'encadrement.

J'ai encadré Vol de Papillons III d'Alice and Co que j'ai réalisé cette semaine en blanc avec des papillons en bleu (3807).

This morning was a framing morning!!

I framed Vol de Papillons III of Alice and Co that I made this week, the cross stitch is in white and the backstitch is in blue (3807).

J'ai ensuite encadré Papillons avec mon cadre vert.

Coeur (sans nom)

Mon coeur sans nom est un peu resté en plan le pauvre, mais entre temps j'ai dessiné d'autres coeurs dans cet esprit pour réaliser un ensemble avec ces trois cadres et un pense bête, à suivre.

My heart without a name didn't get very far, but in the mean time I designed some new hearts that I want to make in these three frames but also on an other frame, so keep an eye out.

J'ai commencé un projet: un alphabet que j'ai déssiné sur plusieurs carrés. Je veux faire chaque carré séparément pour ensuite les assembler en patchwork et en faire un plaid.

Donc pour me motiver à ne travailler que sur ce projet - car je dessine de nouveaux modèles et je veux les réaliser de suite!! - je vais vous montrer l'évolution pendant la semaine.

I started a project: an alphabet drawn in several squares. I want to make each square separatly and then assemble them in patchwork and make a lap robe.

So in order to motivate myself in working only on this project - because I am drawing new designs and want to make them immediatly!! - I am going to show you how I am doing day by day.

Pour bébé

Dans un magasin de tissus à Saint Nazaire, il y avait ces petits chaussons pour bébé en solde. J'ai craqué (malgré que je n'ai pas de bébé!!) et j'ai brodé un papillon dessus.

Lors du salon Créativa Bruxelles, j'avais acheté des bouts de tissus couleur "vieux rose". Sur une bande en lin j'ai brodé un modèle celtique puis l'ai cousu au tissu et réalisé un petit coussin.

Voici mon ensemble "Bienvenue bébé".

In a store in Saint Nazaire I found these baby boots on sale and eventhough I don't have any babies I still bought them and cross stitch a butterfly on them. During the Creativa fair in Brussells I had bought some pieces of fabric in this "old pink" color. On a linen band I cross stitch the Alice and Co model "Celtique" and made a pillow out of it.

This is my "Welcome baby" project.

Bordure de flocons

"Bordure de flocons" d'Alice and Co

Une bordure en 824 et la lettre en 644, la bande de chez Vaupel. J'ai réalisé cette initiale pour le magasin "A la pensée" de Cherbourg qui propose mes fiches.

Je dois encore broder un autre motif sur la même bande afin de créer un coussin recto verso.

The surrounding is in 824 from DMC and the letter is in 644 and the linen is from Vaupel. I stitched this letter for the shop in Cherbourg "A la pensée" because she sells my grids.

I still have an other design to make on the same piece of linen in order to make a two side pillow.

Je suis en contact avec une boutique allemande depuis l'année dernière, depuis la création d'Alice and Co elle me commande des grilles...et elle les réalise.

J'ai terminé ce week end la grille "Papillons" d'Alice and Co. J'ai choisi un vert car j'ai un cadre vert très sympa et je voulais proposer un peu de couleur. Je le montrerai encadré plus tard.

I finished this week end the grid "Papillons" (butterflies) from Alice and Co. I chose a green color because I have a frame that color and thought that it would change a bit to try out some colors. I'll show it framed later on.

Celtique Coeurs

Dernier ouvrage pour partir au salon Créativa de Bruxelles. Un coussin avec une bande de lin à carreaux bleus brodé de coeurs celtiques d'Alice and Co par ma maman.

Je mets tout dans la voiture et je pars cet après midi, toujours malade mais il fait beau donc ça va.

Chez Bouchara j'ai trouvé ces pinces à linge grenouille, j'ai ressorti un cadre que j'aivais réalisé il y a longtemps, j'ai fait la grille "Pots de fleurs I" d'Alice and Co et voilà mon pêle mêle du jardin!!

Pêle Mêle du week end (1)

Un pêle mêle de chez Annick Profit. J'ai seulement utilisé le cadre et les deux planches. J'ai mis du lin blanc sur le fond, un lin de chez La Croix et la Manière pour la poche, une grille Alice and Co pour les fleurs. Ensuite des pinces à linge en bois du supermarché, peintes en blanc Farrow and Ball, et des petites fleurs de chez Bouchara le tout sur une corde de lin du supermarché!!

J'ai réalisé une bande avec mes chats d'Alice and Co. Hier pour me vider la tête je suis allée à Vannes (mais je suis toujours malade) et j'ai trouvé ce tablier dans la collection Linum. Rentré hier soir j'ai sorti la table à repasser, la machine à coudre et voilà mon tablier "customisé"!!

I cross stitched the cats from Alice and Co. Yesterday in order to empty my head (although still sick) I went to Vannes and found this apron from the collection Linum. Back home last night, I took my iron and my sewing machine out and added the cat band to the apron, voilà!!

Une note préparée d'avance car je suis sur mon stand au salon de Saint Nazaire.

Voici un aperçu des affiches que j'ai fait imprimer, c'est un ensemble de trois carrés par thème de couleur, en tout il y a huit thèmes différents (blanc, bleu clair, bleu océan, violet, noir, rose, rouge et vert). Les carrés sont ceux présents sur mon site Internet mais aussi dans les albums ci-contre.

A little note prepared in advance as I am on my stand at the Saint Nazaire fair. Here is a little blink at my posters, it is an assembly of three squares grouped by color themes (white, light blue, ocean blue, purple, black, pink, red and green). The squares are the ones on my website but also the ones on the side bar in the albums.

La "Final Touch"

La touche finale du cabas: je voulais un système de fermeture pour le rabat, j'ai trouvé chez Eurodif cet aimant qui fait office de bouton pression et dans une mercerie des boutons en bois.

I wanted to find something to close my bag, I found this magnet technique and some wooden buttons. And that is the final touch!!

Cabas

Alors là je suis contente de moi, hier était une journée comme je les aime:

1 - Je sors mon carnet et mon crayon et je dessine un cabas avec l'aide d'une fiche de Marie-Claire Idées (parce que leurs explications j'y comprend rien et moi c'est les images qui me conviennent).
2 - Je sors mon lin et je cherche sur mon étagère un tissu pour faire l'intérieur, mais un tissu suffisamment épais pour tenir l'ensemble.
3 - Je vais manger (il faut bien prendre des forces).
4 - Je découpe mes morceaux de lin et de tissu.
5 - J'assemble le tout à la machine, sans surfilage ou tout le tralala, j'ai pas le temps moi (j'avoue je suis une impatiente!!).
6 - Je vais promener le chien (lui il s'en fout de MON emploi du temps!!).
7 - Je brode un motif Alice and Co (Coeurs Dantelez) sur le morceau du rabat, dans un premier temps sur 2 fils, et cela me semble un peu petit donc je recommence sur 3 fils.
8 - Je regarde "Albert est méchant" en même temps.
9- Je finis d'assembler le sac.
10 - Ce matin un coup de fer à repasser.

Voilà une bonne journée!!!

I am happy because yesterday was a day like I love them:

1- I take out my pad and pen and start drawing my bag helped with the explinations of a model in Marie-Claire Idées (there explination are always complicated so I prefer to draw them for a better understanding of the end result).
2 - I take out my linen and look for a fabric stiff enough to make the inside of the bag to hold it up.
3 - I go have lunch (got to get strengh somewhere).
4 - I cut out my piece of linen and fabric.
5 - I sew it all up together, to time in assembling them by hand previously (I admit I'm not patient).
6 - I walk the dog (hey he doesn't care about my rota!!!)
7 - I cross stitch an Alice and Co design (Coeurs Dantelez) on the piece that comes up front, at first I cross stithed on two threads but it seamed to small so ended up on three threads.
8 - Watched a movie on television while cross stitching.
9 - Finished sewing the bag.
10 - Ironed it this morning.

Bordures...

J'ai terminé un nouveau modèle d'Alice and Co, j'ai cousu un tissu au dos pour le rendre plus rigide et ajouté des grosses perles au bas.

I have finished my new design for Alice and Co, I have sewn a fabric in the back to make it more stiff and added beads at the bottom.

Papillons

J'ai terminé mon abat jour avec les papillons de ma nouvelle collection sur une face et un lin imprimé sur les trois autres faces.

Ce sont les couleurs que j'aime. Il me reste encore un abat jour à faire, mais je ne vais pas le faire de suite, car je n'ai pas encore trouvé la toile que je veux.

I finished my lamp shade with my new collection of butterflies on one side and put a printed linen on the three other sides.

These are the colors I love. I still have one lamp shade left, but I'm not going to made right now, because I'm still searching for the fabric I want to use.

Je m'amuse bien à les dessiner, j'ai d'autres idées en tête, mais je prends du retard dans l'impression des grilles, car plus que deux semaines pour préparer le salon de Saint Nazaire, et j'ai encore tout mes projets en cours à terminer pour l'expo. Aie Aie Aie!!!

Un nouveau modèle sur les papillons dans la collection d'Alice and Co: Vol de Papillons II.

Je commence à réfléchir sur ma mise en place pour mon stand de Saint Nazaire, je veux faire des thèmes de couleurs: bleu, rouge, rose et blanc. Il me faut du tissu, des rubans, du fils et du TEMPS!!!

Vol de papillons

Voici une grille créée et réalisée ce week end, bien que j'ai plusieurs projets en cours d' Alice and Co que je dois terminer pour les salons du mois de mars, ce week end j'ai fait un dessin et j'ai tout de suite enchainé sur la réalisation.

J'ai utilisé un lin imprimé de dessins de feuilles et j'ai réalisé un dégradé de rose pour les papillons, le tout encadré dans un tableau blanc. Le résultat sera sur mon site après le mois de mars pour garder un peu de surprise sur mon stand!!

This is a grid I designed this week end, even though I have several Alice and Co projects started that need to be finished for my fairs in march, I made this design and couldn't help making it right away.

I used a printed linen representing leaves, cross stitched the butterflies in different shades of pink and framed it in white. The result will be on my website after march keeping the surprise for my fairs!!

Voilà c'est lancé, aujourd'hui c'est le jour officiel que les responsabilités commencent.

There it is, today is the officiel day, with all the responsabilities it requieres. Cross stitch will no longer be just for my pleasure but for you as well. I'll have to be able to suggest new designs regularly!!! I am starting the fairs in March with one in Saint Nazaire and then two weeks later one in Brussells. So lots of grids to prepare...

Lancement J-2

J'ai encore une modif à faire mercredi, c'est la barre sur la gauche qui n'est pas censée être là et que je vais éliminer mais ce soir je suis KO car cela fait deux heures que je gère le transfert de mon site, en le surveillant de très près.
